How to Clean Chrome Bathroom Taps & Mixers

Chrome is a great material for bathroom taps. If you neglect to maintain your chrome taps and let them lose their shine, the faucets will eventually become dull and reduce the beauty of your bathroom.

Here are some ways to keep your mixers and bathroom taps sparkling clean. You'll have more fun cleaning your taps and be proud of your bathroom.

The right cleaning tools

First, think about what you like to use to clean chrome taps. Taps can be cleaned with sponges, microfiber cloths, or rags that are soft and not abrasive.

You can get toothpaste splatter, watermarks, soap marks, fingerprints and even toothpaste splatter on chrome taps. So choose the cleaning tool that you feel most comfortable with. To remove any stains, use a damp cloth and then buff the surface with a microfiber cloth.

It will be easier to clean your taps if you schedule them more often. If you let dirt build up on chrome taps over several months, it can make it difficult to clean.

Cleaning options

Here are some options to get your chrome bathroom taps free of unsightly stains. There may be a favourite or a new one that you like. The cleaning products that you choose to use for your taps should be something that you'll use regularly, just like the tools you use to clean them. It's not worth spending money on materials you won't use. Keep it simple.

Coca-Cola – If you have ever seen the shine of a coin in Coke, you will be familiar with its cleaning properties. Try adding a bit to your cloth to get rid of stubborn stains from your chrome taps.
